“Io sono nato con la musica dentro di me. E' l'unica spiegazione che conosco per quello che ho realizzato nella vita”. Questa frase del mitico e immortale Ray Charles, Valter Losi l'ha fatta anche sua e spiega in modo semplice e chiaro la filosofia di vita di un musicista talentuoso e creativo che, anno dopo anno, sta assumendo sempre più importanza e seguito tra le schiere dei giovani fisarmonicisti. La sua storia musicale inizia a dodici anni ascoltando un amico che si esercita con la fisarmonica, subisce quell'attrazione fatale che lo porta a iniziare gli studi di musica seguito dal Maestro Elio Piazza che sa esigere da lui il massimo dell'impegno, sostenuto da un autentico talento.
In poco tempo si forma anche “sul campo”, o meglio sul palco, pur continuando le lezioni con docenti privati, iniziando ad esibirsi nelle orchestre da ballo provinciali. Ma la vera svolta arriva nel 1978 a diciotto anni, ad accorgersi di lui e del suo talento arriva Franco Bagutti che lo scrittura: diciotto anni trascorrono veloci… diciotto anni in cui sfida il pubblico con il cuore e con la musica, pur lasciando convivere due anime nella propria personalità: l'artista e l'uomo con i piedi per terra. In questo periodo iniziano con Franco le sue prime esperienze discografiche e poi nel 1985 le prime incisioni per fisarmonica solista. Da allora, sono più di 40 gli album per fisarmonica solista, con all'attivo anche alcuni album per fisarmonica e orchestra. Valter non partecipa a concorsi, per lui le vittorie più belle sono quelle che il pubblico gli attribuisce ogni sera sul palco o acquistando i suoi CD.
Nel suo percorso professionale non mancano trasmissioni in RAI come solista, esibizioni e concerti d'ascolto in tutta Italia, partecipazioni a trasmissioni nelle principali TV private, compreso un premio alla carriera nel 2004 a Bedonia e nel 2006 a Castelfidardo nella rassegna “Musica senza parole” durante il 31° Premio e Concorso Internazionale “Città di Castelfidardo”. Nel 2015 arriva un altro premio molto gratificante, l’impronta della sua mano destra è ufficialmente esposta al museo Internazionale della fisarmonica di Recoaro Terme, insieme ai più grandi fisarmonicisti mondiali. Un traguardo importante che, parole sue, ” non rappresenta un punto d'arrivo”, ma che lo spinge a migliorarsi sempre giorno dopo giorno, perché questa è la sua filosofia di vita.
Questa sua personalità, l’immenso virtuosismo, la sua versatilità d'interpretazione e il suo stile inconfondibile hanno reso Valter nel corso degli anni uno dei più seguiti e apprezzati interpreti di questo affascinante strumento che è la fisarmonica.

It's the only explanation I know for what I've achieved in life.” This quote from the legendary and immortal Ray Charles is one that Walter Losi has also made his own, and it simply and clearly explains the life philosophy of a talented and creative musician who, year after year, is gaining more importance and followers among young accordionists.
His musical journey began at the age of twelve, when he listened to a friend practicing the accordion. He felt a fatal attraction that led him to start studying music under Elio Piazza, who knew how to demand the utmost commitment from him, supported by his genuine talent. In a short time, he also gained experience on stage, while continuing his lessons with private teachers, and began performing in local dance orchestras. But the real turning point came in 1978 when, at eighteen years old, he was noticed by Franco Bagutti, who signed him on. Eighteen years passed quickly… eighteen years in which he challenged the audience with his heart and his music, all while balancing two sides of his personality: the artist and the down-to-earth man.
During this period, his first recording experiences with Franco began, followed by his first solo accordion recordings in 1985. Since then, he has produced over 40 solo accordion albums, along with several albums for accordion and orchestra. Walter does not participate in competitions; for him, the most beautiful victories are those the audience gives him every night on stage or by purchasing his CDs. His professional journey includes performances as a soloist on RAI broadcasts, listening concerts throughout Italy, appearances on major private TV shows, and career awards in 2004 in Bedonia and in 2006 in Castelfidardo during the “Musica senza parole” event at the 31st “Città di Castelfidardo” International Prize and Competition.
In 2015, he received another very gratifying award: the imprint of his right hand was officially displayed at the International Accordion Museum in Recoaro Terme, alongside the greatest accordionists in the world. This significant milestone, in his own words, “is not a point of arrival,” but instead drives him to continually improve, day after day, because this is his life philosophy. His personality, immense virtuosity, versatility in interpretation, and unmistakable style have made Walter, over the years, one of the most followed and appreciated interpreters of this fascinating instrument, the accordion.
